JOVANOTTI NEGLI PALASPORT was the second of two completely different productions in support of the same “2015 CC” album during 2015, and my fourth collaboration with the incomparable set designer Giancarlo Sforza. He took the “flash” motif intrinsic in the Negli Stadi design and completely reversed the visual flow: the structure put the focal point of the entire stage at the centre of a “target” with lines flowing into the stage rather than radiating away.

The lighting design followed this motif and became several truss “fingers” of different lengths that radiated out from a centre point above the “target” that concert goers would see as they walked in to the venue. Yet another creative use of LED tiles and content created the illusion of a rounded video screen that would reveal its true shape as the concert progressed.
